The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support position made for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to enable the sassa servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
